Once I got an intense desire to serve ‘Shree Swāmi’ by fanning him with a “Chowri” (A special device designed to fan a deity, or saints or anything that is holy. It is used to drive away the insects and to fan the deity to give pleasure).  A friend of mine ‘Shree Ulhasrao Bhate’, when he had gone to Akkalkot, as a special blessing, he got me one “Chowri” from the ‘Math’ which was used in ‘Shree Swāmi’s service over there.  What Grace! I am indeed blessed!

Once I had another desire and that was to spread an "Mrugarjin" (Deer skin normally is spread on the seat; supposed to be auspicious and it stores the energy liberated due to meditation. Many seekers use it) on ‘Shree Swāmi’s Gadi’ (Holy place where He sits) and my wish was fulfilled in following manner.  One early morning the Pujari (The one who conducts official worship) at ‘Akkalkot Samadhi Math’ who was also belongs to Cholappa’s lineage (One of ‘Shree Swāmi’s greatest Bhakta; with whom Swāmi lived for quite sometime) visited us and he brought the ‘Mrugarjin’ for Swāmi.  How kind Swāmi is! How great His Grace!  We just wished and it happened in no time; Swāmi fulfils the desire even if one just thinks about it.

We all read the "Pothi" (A religious text based on events/stories of great Godlike people/Saints, etc; it includes their teachings too.) by the name of “Shree Swāmi Guru-kathāmruta”, written by 'Shree Ramchandra Govind Joshi' on 7th, 8th and 9th May.  It is quite cumbersome to sit in one place and read continuously for long hours.  The temperatures were very high and it was extremely warm. To our dismay from the day we started to read the “Pothi”, cool breeze started blowing and we did not suffer at all.  During the reading, this “Pothi”, we gave everybody “Vālyāche Sarbhat” (A cold drink make up of Vetiver; which is supposed to be cooling too.) Interesting enough, there was a reference in this “Pothi” that even during 'Shree Swāmi’s time, the same cold drink was distributed amongst Swāmi devotees. What a coincidence!  While we were reading about how Swāmi caused rains to fall in the region near “Siddheshwar Temple” at ‘Solāpur’ we could see the lightening and it started to rain heavily, here in 'Pune' too. It was like, what was written in the "Pothi") (what happened years ago), was happening (repeating) in Poona in recent times.

On 10th May 2002, we celebrated ‘Shree Swāmi Samartha’s “Punyatithi” (The day he left the mortal coil/Death Anniversary) like very year with great enthusiasm.  Swāmi reassures you at all times by performing feats in even small and inconspicuous incidents in one’s life.  He makes you feel that He is constantly watching you and is with you. Shree Swāmi Samarth Maharaj loves us immensely. What more do we need in life?
